Heavily inspired by Les Brown

There are two types of people in this world that you can be. There are thermostats and thermometers. Thermostats don't let their circumstances control their outcome. There's going to be days were life steps right in your face, Murphy's law is making an example out of you. Regardless of your circumstances you stay driven, regardless of being faced with depressing situations you stay confident. If you walk into a room and its cold your heat it up. When its raining outside your still running your three miles. If you lose your job you still see your dream. Ultimately it's on you.

Then there are people that are thermometers, you let your circumstances control your reality. You walk into a room with people who want you to fail so except you're gonna fail. Your car breaks down so you can't get to the gym and train or you cant get to the library to study or you can't get to work. You walk into a cold room so you sit there and freeze. Your circumstances control your reality. I'm down on my luck, I can't catch a break. It's out of my hands.

We all know that person that when they enter the room you feel the energy level rise, you watch them and feel inspired. Hey man you just lost your job how are you still driven, how do you still have the will to train. Hey lady your husband just left you, cheated on you, how do you still show up early every day and study before class and stay late and study some more? These people do not let their circumstances control their reality.

Be a thermostat, control your environment not the other way around. Its raining outside so what, works rough this week so what, your offer at work got shot down so what, your girlfriend left you so what, you spoke in front of your colleagues and no one listened so what.
