I tried to train bench on Thursday, but I arrived at the Y 15 min before they closed early due to the inclement weather.  This turned Thursday into an off day and pushed my bench back to Friday.  While I prefer not to train the day before event day, it's not a huge deal since I have flexibility in the way my programming is laid out.  Plus, events this week will be just some lighter work after I wrecked myself at Brute last week.
