bench work

Following yesterday's heavy squat work my elbows are very sore. Nothing feels like an injury but the soreness impedes my ability to bench with proper form. My bench strength has always lagged and a significant part of why I have been able to press the amounts that I have is because of proper form and technique. When my technique is off I reduce the weight and focus on recovery.

barbell bench

worked up to 315 for 3 sets of 3 reps. (weight not racking in the right groove consistently so I shut it down).


dumbbell bench

50's for 2 sets of 20 reps


tricep extension with SS Yoke bar

3 sets of 10 with 185


Arnold press

worked up to 70s' for 3 sets of 5 reps
