I got a chance to train at an amazing gym this past weekend. I was pumped to be in the intense environment. The whole thing I had on my mind though was testing out my shoulder on Saturday benching and knee Sunday squatting.

Shannon, my training partner Martin Lebrun got the amazing opportunity to go to train with Ken and Sheri Whetham This past weekend.

The three of us drove down to Oshawa Friday night after Shannon's MRI got cancelled (shout out to socialized health care). Got in late and talked to Ken about 2 hours before going to bed.

Ken and Sheri were nice enough to host us for the entire weekend. We got Saturday off with some benching.

Working in my Jack bench shirt
bar x 10
95 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 3
315 x 1
405 x 3 (added my shirt)
455 x 2
495 x 1. At this point I wasn't sure if I was going to go any higher. it felt heavy and awkward and I was getting crapping in my hips. Took about a 10 min break and went back at it.
545 x smoke show. It went up faster than my 135 did!

Called it there as I wanted to finish on a high note.  Day one was done and I wasn't blown a part. That is always good news.

We all finished with a tour of the fire hall that Ken is a full time fire fighter at. Pretty Sweet
