Apparently, training 3 days in a row and feeling like dookie is a long lost deadlift secret. I was fully expecting to fight through training today riding the struggle bus, but it ended up going much better than expected across the board until my hamstrings decided to pack their bags and leave town when I was doing GHRs. Now I have a 3 day training hiatus due to scheduling of classes and probably (though still unconfirmed) my make up midterm. Today was the last percentage-based training day of this block and since both Marc and I are feeling good and doing well, we are going to forego deloading this time around and roll right into the next block of training starting next week.
Clean Complex
1xPVC
Deadlift
10x45
10x135
5x225
3x335
1x385
5x435
3x495
5x550 - Felt like I had 2-3 more reps in the tank, but my left glute was not firing quite soon enough/hard enough which was causing me to start doing helicopter tugs, so five reps was good for today.
SS Yoke Bar High Box Squats
2x15x225
15x235
15x245
15/5x245/195
GHR/Seated SS Yoke Bar Calf Raise
10xBW-micro band/20x245
2x{10xBW/20x255}
10xBW - This is where my hamstrings were starting to completely shut down. For those with limited space in their garage gym like me, the Home Glute Ham Raise is a gnarly way to annihilate your hamhocks.
