Today was my last day of vacation in San Diego. Me and Swede decided that we would train at California Elite Training Center (Gracie V's gym). This is the first time I touched a barbell since the meet.  I decided to start off my recovery microcycle with bench.  Honestly, it's nothing exciting.

However, my day after training WAS exciting. Swede and I both agree it was the best day of the whole trip. We trained, went and saw seals at La Jolla Cove (this mostly involved Swede sitting super close to them and making conversation lol), then we went and hiked the trails at Torrey Pines State Reserve (which had the best view of the sunset I've seen all trip), and then I took him out to dinner as a belated birthday gift (because I was dieting on his birthday.)

I needed this trip. I've never really been on a vacation of my own. It was nice to get away for the week,  actually, more like 11 days from start to finish.  This is by far the best vacation I have ever taken.
