I’m currently in meet prep for the 2016 APF Equipped Nationals, in Orlando, Florida on May 28th, 2016. I will be competing at 132 pounds, raw with knee wraps. The big picture is to prep for this meet, and obtain a top three placing to qualify for WPC Worlds in November.

Wednesday's extra leg work was a bit on the lighter side. Much more isolation based work as my body was feeling the heavier pulls from Tuesday. I took a special emphasis on my glutes and hamstrings as I saw that this was something I really needed to work on to finish that final pull that I had on Tuesday. This was super quick and lasted about 35 minutes. Still chipping away at these, and after next week, I will begin to pull the volume down and let the tapering do it's job.

In other news...

On my personal front, I have decided that I am going to attempt to go back to school....AGAIN! I've already got six years of higher education in, but I have made the decision that I am going to pursue my MBA degree. Since owning my own small business (online coaching), I've became more interested in the business side of things, and would like to be able to package my exercise science knowledge and training along with business. I'm still not entirely sure on how I want this to end up, but right now I am leaning towards a focus in management and systems, in hopes that I can go after a position in an academic office in a recreation or athletics department. This week I started studying again so that I can sit to take my GMAT exam, and hopefully test well to be able to apply to various institutions. I won't know much more until I take the exam to where my possibilities will be and to send applications. Truth be told, I really don't want to go back to school. But, I do want to better my education and be successful in a position of management and business that let's me use my knowledge of training as well, and that need is just more.

I'll keep this updated as things progress towards this goal, but it looks like I'll be studying to take this exam for the next 8-12 weeks. I'm going to study much harder after the meet, but right now I'm on a good pace to be able schedule it when I get back from APF Equipped Nationals.
