When I tore my tricep tendon last year it was doing heavy chain work on the bench. Since then I've done some chain work but the thought of the injury surfaces as the chains increase. I did learn that it is important to limit the number of chains to prevent them from twisting on the bar and to be more aware of how they are loaded.

barbell bench with chains

worked up to 275 and began adding 1 chain per side per set

worked up to 4 chains per side doing doubles

5 chains per side for a single

bar weight moved to 300 plus 5 chains per side for a single

hammer strength row machine

worked up doing sets of 10 to 5 plates per side for 2 sets of 10

standing military press with angle bar

135 for 4 sets of 8 reps

Bench felt good today and I had to strain on the last few reps without any pain or tingling. Making progress.
