SO this might have been dumb, but no one ever said I was a particularly rational human being. I knew today was the day that I would come back to squatting with a straight bar, but I had no idea just how far I would go.

I started adding plates and just didn't stop. I felt amazing and I decided to ride it out. I chose to have side spots because of fear, but they proved to be unneeded.

 

The result is a 50lb 3 rep PR, 5lbs under my old one rep max. That's pretty dumb in case you don't realize.
