From @underthebar 's AMA today. This is a pillar I build my life around. Do you think i have it easy? Do you think anyone does? Everyone struggles, some more so than others and some in different ways.

This isn't a preachy post but I had a client reach out to me about their struggling with other people in their life and it mirrored components of my own. What I said to them was simply that you cannot control what other people think about you, or even do in response to the things you do. Your best intentions bear no credence to how another person may react or feel. You can only control what you do, and stand by the decisions you make. In a sense, earning your regrets and earning your victories. I've thought about my own driving in silence up Route 665 many times. .

In terms of faith, I have had to realize many times in my life that things ARE NOT okay. Inherently though, things being bad does not mean that they will stay there forever. I have faith that it will pass and it will be better. Faith is not blind trust or allegiance, but a commitment to action and an endeavor to take control of your actions and make the best of what you can. No one will do it for you, and YOU CANNOT DO IT FOR ANYONE ELSE. You can only control yourself, and if you fail to do so it is one of the largest failures you can ever experience. But you can be better. You just need faith and you need action. .

It is a very atypical view of faith, but normal is boring. I wholeheartedly believe we always need to strive for betterment and know that things will get better. But they will only get better IF YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
