Whether this thought is inspired by an exterior force like a disappointed significant other, a coach, or a parent; or from an introspective gaze that has uncovered something unpleasant you feel about yourself, it holds weight.

Taking ownership and realizing it is YOU that must put in the work rather than some uncontrollable force like karma or destiny, can grant an extreme sense of power and self worth to yourself. The reason I am writing this is because I always strive to realize that I own my actions, and my actiuons define who I am.I recently have been able to demonstrate the work and ownership of my own training, in the final weeks of meet prep for the SOuthern Strength Showcase. However, I also strive to be a coach and a pillar of strength in the young community of strength athletes and professionals out there. This last point has been lacking lately as I have devoted less than acceptable amounts of effort towards writing and informing people of a another perspective in their facebook feed.

I recentlyh was married, and i made it a point to illustrate to my wife that I will always be trying to be a better version of myself. I would like to think that is why many people in my lives seem to gravitate towards me, and choose to learn or gain some type of experience from that persona. In order to do this, I need to put more written and video content out, as I truly feel as though I can have some type of positive impact in the grand scheme of things. I can do that through my own training and competitive performances, and I can do that through opinion and education. These two things are not mutually exclusive and I need to do better in realizing this.

You all will be able to see my results come this Nov 19 with whatever total I put up. Win or fail, those results are MINE because I know, and own the fact, that I was the one to put the work in. And you will be able to see those things in my WORKS as I will strive to do more of those in the future.
