The break from a strict powerlifting regimen has been seriously refreshing. My body feels better than it ever has, and has been moving better than ever. I have less and less pain every day, and I am starting to have more fun with my training again. I found that I got into a serious rut for awhile and I burned out a lot. This has been something I have really needed.

Not to mention - I got my first legitimate tap-out from a non-white belt in my BJJ sparring from last night. 😉

So what does that say about my goals? I just want to focus on moving better for right now. Getting my cardio back up, challenging myself in different ways with my training, and maybe even choosing, training for, and committing to doing a BJJ tournament sometime early next year. I don't have any set numbers in mind for right this moment - I am just varying my training and leaving my strict programming for when I am dialing in for another meet.

Random unrelated interjection: I am SO pumped for our Strength Seminar in June! You better believe I'll be throwing my knee wraps back on for that one. 😉

I pulled something in my glute/hamstring the other day, so I skipped out on the squats until a little later this week since I didn't want to push things. It isn't severe, but I do feel a bit of a pull on my way up from a squat so I am taking it easy.
