I’m currently in meet prep for the 2016 APF Equipped Nationals, in Orlando, Florida on May 28th, 2016. I will be competing at 132 pounds, raw with knee wraps. The big picture is to prep for this meet, and obtain a top three placing to qualify for WPC Worlds in November.

Well, Wednesday was a fun day. I used the hack squat machine to basically kill myself before I got into my other work. Really the weight wasn't bad, it was the rest periods...or matter lack thereof. I did pace myself, basically starting each set at the top of each minute, and it just had me absolutely gassed by about set six. It was mainly used as some conditioning and to limit the amount of weight that I could use for the rest of the session. Mission definitely accomplished. I left feel good and knowing that I sufficiently brought up some weak points and go in some good specific conditioning. One more day until some much needed rest from intensity. Then we start peaking and tapering off the volume.
