I'm going to use our new Westside belt squat machine for the first time today. I really liked our old one so if this one is better I'll be very impressed.
Belt Squat to 15" box
worked up to 3 plates per side for 3 sets of 8 reps
2 plates per side for 20 reps
dimel deadlifts
225 for 3 sets of 8 reps
315 for 1 set of 5 reps
405 for 1 set of 5 reps
reverse hyper
140 for 4 sets of 20 reps
The Westside belt squat is very smooth and can accommodate a lot more variations of resistance than our old one. It is a nice piece, however I wasn't thrilled about having to bend over to pull the weight pin (our old belt squat had a pneumatic switch that controlled the pin) and the platform could be wider. I'm not writing it off yet but I was spoiled with out old version.
