Back to what I love the most, benching! Unfortunately my body doesn't love it as much as it used to. My body feels like an old slick worn out tire being driven in the rain at about a hundred miles per hour right now, but so far so good my body is holding up well enough.
I dropped down to blue bands this week and my projection remains the same at 750 pounds. My objective every two weeks is to drop a band every two weeks and successfully hit my projection to a one board or a half board. Again so far so good. Today went as planned and everything felt really good and fast. I'm hoping that my new bench shirt the Metal Joker will be here soon so I can test my abilities with my body and the weight that I can push. I have only benched with the Metal Ace and the Metal Jack exclusively over the ten plus years so it is a little exciting going into the unknown trying something different from Metal. I have benched 800 pounds or more in each of those shirts in the past but I highly doubt an 800 pound plus bench is ever going to be in my future again, but then again you never know.
