This week I dropped down to a blue band for my reverse band squats. As normal when I am using these bigger bands my straps will be very lose and I will not be using big heavy tight knee wraps. That gives me some offset with using this blue band. As I get to the smaller bands I will increase my strap tightness and use more aggressive knee wraps but that time will come later.
My back, my hamstring and my shoulder seem to be holding up well during the squats tonight. I also feel that my pickup is becoming more laser locked in than ever before. My confidence continues to grow the more that I pick up this type of weight. I'm not shaking anymore nor do I look like I don't know what I am doing. For me and for most, the pickup is the most important part of the squat and I feel like I am getting better and better at this.
If I haven't said this before I am saying it now and I will say it again, I absolutely love this Metal canvas suit. It feels like a thick layer of body Armour. Once I put it on I feel like I can do anything. The adjustable Velcro straps on the legs of this suit are ingenious. I can adjust how tight I want them and once I take them lose the suit comes off a lot easier than not having these Velcro straps. The Velcro shoulder straps are extraordinarily thick and you know once you put them over your shoulders, you are good. Metal hit a home run with this canvas suit. It was definatley worth the wait for Metal to perfect their own canvas squat suit.
