JD came out to train with me this week. He was off from work so it was great having him to train with. Made benching a lot more efficient.

 

July 4

step-ups

slightly below parallel step

held 70-pound dumbbells for 3 sets of 15 steps each leg

slightly above parallel box

held 30-pound dumbbells for 3 sets of 15 steps each leg

1 set of 25 each leg at bodyweight

 

dimel deadlifts

225 for 4 sets of 12 reps

 

hanging leg raises

3 sets to failure

 

 

July 5

 

tsunami bar bench

worked up to 2 plates per side for 3 sets of 5 reps

1 plate per side for 1 set of 10 reps

 

dumbbell bench

90's for 3 sets of 10 paused reps

 

dumbbell raises

25's for 3 sets of 12 reps

 

Having help using the tsunami bar was nice and I had more confidence to go a little heavier and push a little harder.
