XPC Powerlifitng championships at the Arnold. This meet was (at least day 1) very strict on the squats. I saw no gifts and no shit it was usapl depth. A few of our lifters squats got reds and I was in shock but you have to trust the judges. Saying that everything else was on par and fair. We had a great showing with our three lifters that competed. Kyle (1960lbs at 275weight class) set a meet PR of 70lbs. He had the highest total and best co-efficient. Jim (1560lbs at 198weight class) set a meet PR of 30lbs. Jim had a bad day and was traveling a lot last few weeks prior to the meet. He was on track to total over 1800lbs. Still setting a meet PR of 30lbs is great. Kristin (308lb weight class and totaled 1100lbs) set a 105lb meet PR. She had a great meet but hasn't even came close to her potential just like the other 2 lifters. Since cleaning some house and getting the team back on track we have seen a better team atmosphere. We had another great lifter Aaron that was scheudle to lift but had some knee issues. Another one of our top female lifters was let go. Next year would like to have a full men's and women's team come compete. With that being said we are having and in house SPF meet this Saturday at TTF. I am looking forward to seeing the other group of our team compete. Cody, Andrew, Allison, hunter, Brendan, Ashley are all set to have great days. I am working on my next article explaining better what we are trying to build at TTF.
As far as for myself it was very tough being at the Arnold and not being able to compete. Was very tough when your mind tells you one thing but your body isn't close to being ready. My goal is a meet in November then the Arnold next year.
