I'm currently training for the 2019 USPA Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. After dropping a couple weight classes, this meet will be second showing at 198 and real return to raw powerlifting after a couple years wearing gear.
This session went rather poorly. The point was to pull off blocks for speed and technique. I was slow and looked bad. Mission failed. I ended up cutting a lot of the session. I think fatigue from the weekend had set in a little and I needed a break. No matter, a bit of unplanned deloading isn't a big deal.
Deadlift - 495 x 3 x 1 (was supposed to be 6 x 1) off ~4inch block
Block Pull - 325 x 1 x 5 (was supposed to be 405 x 2 x 5)
Skipped deficit stiff legs
Skipped GHRs
Banded Lat Pull down - light band x 3 x 15
Stir the pot - 3 x 10 each direction
Pretty rough. Sure, I could have gutted it out but that's worse than taking it easy at this point in my mind. Running myself into the ground isn't useful. Protecting myself to be able to pull well next week is much more important than some block pulling. This close to the meet I'm not going to get much stronger. But I can mess it up bad and make myself way weaker.
