Staying true to what I said about overhead pressing and inclined benching, this weeks supplemental training day called for inclined barbell benching. This is truly either tied for my favorite supplement movement with overhead pressing or first, just kind of depends on how I feel that day.

I really like to use the fat bar when doing inclined barbell pressing. I like the feel of it, takes the stress off my shoulders and it makes it feel a little tougher. I also use a close grip on all theses sets and reps. This exercise right here is what I like to call putting Armour all on the tires so to speak. This movement is the final touch that the triceps need to add size, strength and lock out power to the bench press. All the things a growing boy/girl needs to push that big weight on the bar.

I'm no where near where I used to be doing this exercise. 405 pounds for 10 reps used to be just another walk in the park. Unfortunately those days are long and gone, but I do the best I can for an old man. And what I did today was just baby steps to improve this gem of an exercise.
