This unfortunate sumo hell continues. This will be my last week of doing sets of technique rep pulls on trying to dial this multiply sumo.
We have installed a one of a kind reverse band deadlift gantry over one of our deadlift platforms. We are pretty excited over having such a contraption. We have not been able to set up reverse band deadlifts properly in our gym in the past, but now that problem has been rectified. We went ahead after installing the gantry and tested how much weight it would take on the deadlift bar that would be required keeping it touching the floor. Now we know exactly how much help we will receive when we pull from the floor using reverse bands. For the first time ever, this upcoming training cycle for our meet in March will include some reverse band deadlifts in our training. This training cycle will be more of a test phase on how it works and if we can fully incorporate our reverse band method with deadlifts as we have done successfully for many years for the bench-press and squat.
