Rest day today so it's been filled with me trying to get things done and ultimately getting incredibly frustrated due to the BMV/DMV and tax document stuff that should have been rectified a long time ago. None of that requires any detail going into in here, but I just wanted to post a reminder for myself and for others:

Mindfulness is incredibly valuable in our toolbox and it is easy to overlook sometimes. SImply taking ten minutes and breathing, clearing your mind, and focusing on the things you can control and pushing out the things you cannot bring a level of power back to you, and a sense of security when stress is very high. I myself tend to get worked up over trivial things, and get incredibly angry/stressed about them, but taking this time to meditate or at the very least, stop and think, brings me back down to where I need to be.

This stress can manifest itself in many forms in different people. Depression, lethargy, anger, violence, self destruction, apathy or whatever else is out there, it can happen to anyone. And I am not saying being mindful will fix everything for everyone, but it might help. And if you've never done it before, why not try?

Stress is cumulative, so if you want to make the best progress you can, you have to at least try to attempt to minimize stress in your life. And that counts from all sources.

Wrapped squats tomorrow.
