As I am getting closer to the meet, the weight is going up and the reps are going down. The peak of the mountain is quickly approaching and I'm ready to conquer that son of a bitch. I'm getting closer to my opener and the top sets were to hit 745 for two singles. I was mildly concerned going into this training session because I was basically hitting my heaviest squats with potentially no guaranteed help going into the gym. What's nice about a gym like Old School Iron Gym (Brook Park, OH), is I always know there will be people willing to help because most members there are accustomed to some serious weight being moved around in there. Whether I know them or not, they will lend a hand to make sure I don't fucking die if for some reason I bust a nut under the bar or blow an O ring in my anus. Thankfully there were plenty of people, (most of whom I have never even met before), setting my straps, calling my depth and keeping me safe. When you find a place like OSI, you don't fucking leave it. End of story.
