Event Training @ Iron Strong CF

Eighty degrees?  Check.  Sunny?  Check.  Training for strongman outside and having fun?  Check plus.  This is most likely my last event training day until the first week of May due to the approach of 2 weeks of my final finals of PT school.  I'm leaving the possibility of training open, but looking at it realistically that I likely won't be able to take a 4 hour chunk of time out to relax and train until I'm finished.  So keeping that in mind, my main goal today was to have fun training and I did exactly that.

Circus DB

band w/up

3ea x 115

3ea x 135

2x1ea x 155

2x2ea x 165

2ea x 175 - Video

All sets were 2x right arm followed by 2x left arm.  Hitting the double at 175 with my left arm was a lefty PR, especially considering it was after hitting reps with my right arm.

Yoke/Prowler Drag Medley

60' x 355/60' x prowler + 90

60' x 445/60' x prowler + 90

60' x 535/60' x prowler + 270

60' x 625/60' x prowler + 270

2x{60' x 715/60' x prowler + 270} - Video

I was considering going up to 380/400 on the prowler like I did after tire a couple weeks ago, but around the 535 yoke tun I realized my legs were a lot more smoked after yoking than after a couple light tire flips so stayed at 270 for today.  Yoke felt a little off today, but not bad and prowler drags felt solid even in a fatigued state.

Stone Over Bar (58", tackyless)

1x215

3x215

3x250 - Video

2x250 - Just missed #3 by a short and curly

I had 15-20 sec rest between reps because I was retrieving my own stones and rolling them back around to the other side of the bar.  Felt pretty strong on these once I remembered to pull the stone high(er).
