Lily and I got to the compound just as Dave was about to walk out. We got to talk to him a bit and it reminded me of the old days when things at the gym were a lot less busy and a lot more personal. It was really nice.

As for training Lily and I both decided it would be a good day for some shirt work. She has been putting in some solid work in her first shirt and is smoking some weights off the boards. We have been working the bar path down closer to touching each session and I think today may be the day. I've been working in a new Metal single ply bench shirt. I like it a lot but I think I either need to gain some weight or have the shirt taken in a bit. It works well and the groove is nice but i'm not getting a lot out of it and I can touch 275 without a lot of effort put in to pulling it down.

Today was a solid day and Lily almost touched 225...I called for a press about 1/4 inch about her chest because it stalled and started to sway a bit. She pressed it to lockout and today was a success! As for me this shirt is great for rep work and adds some but mostly protects my elbows and shoulders. For it to be a max effort shirt I would need to have it taken in quite a bit. I'm going to keep working it and see if I can wear it a little differently to get more out of it before altering it.
