It was time to squat and I felt ready. My opener was 777 and I felt confident with that weight. I wore the Metal Ace squat suit over the Metal Ace briefs with Metal Mystical Silver Knee wraps for my opener and the test EliteFTS knee wraps with grip on my second attempt. I wore the EliteFTS super heavy wrist wraps and EliteFTS Heavy elbow sleeves on both attempts.

My opener went well and I jumped to 810 on my second for a 10 pound PR. My second went well and I put in 826 for my third attempt. I’m not exactly sure what was going through my head on my third but I took it out of the rack and I felt really unstable with the weight. My set up was all off and since I had already hit a PR I called for the rack and passed on the attempt.

After I got my suit off I spoke with Matt Smith and he said that my issue was my confidence about the squat overall. I have to agree with him and it makes complete sense. Squat confidence doesn’t come easy for me and will be a priority in my next training cycle.
