Today will be the first day since last June I've put on a bench shirt and it should be interesting. My elbow is fully healed and the strength of my raw bench press is at about 85% of what it was pre-surgery. I no longer have pain or numbness associated with it but have some work to do on strength and confidence.
Bench
worked up to 315 for a single raw
put on Metal M single ply bench shirt
365 for a single
405 for a single
455 for a single
Pressing went well and the 455 didn't feel overly heavy but it moved slow. So slow in fact that the spotters almost took it but they didn't and allowed to strain to lockout. which is what I need right now.
cable crossover lat pulldowns
stack for 4 sets of 12 reps
standing military press with angle bar
135 for 4 sets of 8 reps
band pull aparts
mini band for 2 sets of 20
The shirted benching felt okay but I wasn't as stable as I need to be. I got some numbers and information on what needs work. Another successful session.
