Up in Michigan for the weekend so I didn’t train yesterday. I’ve been feeling pretty good and my weight has been on a steady increase. At this point I’m pretty sure I’m just going to walk in for my next meet in the 242 class. It’ll be nice not having to cut and I should be walking around at about full weight so the strength gains I make during the meet cycle should carry over to the platform better than they have in the past. For today I just did some benching for volume. Here is what I did….

 

Foam rolling, stretching, band pull aparts, reverse grip dumbbell press

 

Barbell bench

Bar for a few

135 for 5 reps

225 for 5 reps

225 plus 2 chains per side for 5 sets of 5 reps

 

Behind the head lat pull downs

100 for 5 sets of 20 reps

 

Arnold presses

50’s for 4 sets of 12 reps

 

Horizontal military press

10’s for 3 sets of 15 reps

 

Things felt good today. Benching went well and the bar moved rather quickly.
