Today was the UGSS with John Meadows and the event turned out great! There was a very diverse group of attendees and people were spread all over the gym. That was really cool and watching people do so many different things was interesting. This event had less structure than the LTTS and training with other people verses "coaching" was nice. As with most Saturdays today was max effort lower day for me. I got things set up on one of the monos and just as we started warming up Tim and Jessica jumped in with us. They are a married couple from Pennsylvania who own a gym and also compete in powerlifting. It was very evident that they knew what they were doing and were motivated. We squatted and deadlifted and by the end of the training session they both hit some PR's. We had a couple of other guys jump in on deadlifts with us and while their names have slipped my mind both were very strong. It was a great day and the only thing I wish we could have done was some benching. We simply didn't have time. As for me I worked up to a moderately heavy squat and pull.

Overall it was a great session and getting to meet and train with some new people was exciting.
