I briefly mentioned it early last week, but I've been tapering off several medications and have been dealing with pretty severe withdrawal symptoms during the process. My original plan was just to pull back training intensity and frequency a little bit; but since last week I've gotten a lot worse and I've been so sick with flu-like symptoms that I haven't been able to train at all - I started to improve a little bit since the weekend, and I have one more dose reduction next week and then hopefully this process will be done in the next few weeks and I'll be home free. After this is complete and I have some time to process my thoughts, I'll discuss:
  • Some of the things I've learned from this experience
  • What helped (and what didn't)
  • How you can hopefully avoid some of these negative aspects, should you be in a similar boat.
