Heavy Lower @ ISCF

Of course, after saying that the last 6 weeks of training have been better than the last 2 and a half years of training, I suddenly feel like I got beat with a bag of dicks.  I still managed to get in what I think was solid training, but after deadlifting I shut it down for the day.  Thanks go out to fellow founder of the Meat Head Dream Team, gym owner, Irish Tornado, and all around b'dass, Steve Mattheu, for his motivation (whether he knew it or not) from 3 hours away at his facility, Iron Athletics Gym, up in Forest Hill, MD.

This felt heavy starting at 135.  I'm not sure how much of the extra bars and 40 lbs in 10s that I was actually lifting, but it felt like all of it today.  Also, my setup was super sketchy since I was using one elitefts econo core blaster and one old school landmine type apparatus shaped like a home plate and the entire rig wouldn't stay symmetrical so I was pulling all kinds of funky crooked.  Hopefully it all evened out since everything was attached, but the heavier it got the less it felt like that was happening.  This also took forever to setup and cleanup and afterward I felt pretty toasted so the fat lady sang.  Still a good day, but much more tired feeling than normal, probably because it was my first week of classes and my schedule was all kinds of messed up which usually seems to throw me off a little.  Video below of my top set only.
