Heavy Lower

Some morning training today before my last day of classes and then SPRING BREAK!  Which I will spend the majority of studying most likely, but at least I can do it on my own schedule.  It's not warm enough here yet for outdoor fun so that's good for my studying, but bad for kicking my feet up and relaxing.

RDLs

10x45

6x135

4x225

4x315

2x405

1x455

1x505 - 1st video

1x525 - 2nd video

3x3x475 - 3rd video of last set

RDLs are an exercise I have never really trained heavy before until very recently.  My biggest problem feels like it is keeping my lats tight, which I can engage at the top, but after I get up over about 455ish I sometimes start to drift forward after I pass my knees coming down which then causes me to round and put stress in my low back.  505 felt great, but 525 felt like I was borderline about to strain my left glute or put too much tension on my sciatic nerve in there so I stopped.  It looked better on video than it felt doing it.  I also managed to bust some blood vessels in my left hand, giving me some pretty gnarly petechiae (see pic).

SS Yoke Bar Good Mornings

10x155 - Left glute was feeling funky nerve pain

2x205 - So I added another warmup set and it got better

10x225 - Felt good

15x205 - Aaaand the glute funk was back so I skipped my last set of GMs.

SS Yoke Bar Calf Raise/Pulldown Abs/Hypers

3x{25x265/30x avg band/15x25}

At this point I had to hustle to shower and eat before heading to class.  It was good to bounce back from my crappy Monday training and start off my last day of classes before spring break with a bang.
