*One and a Half Weeks Out from RPS Lexen Spring Fling*

Monday was my last heavy bench day before competition. I did some 4-board level benches with a bench block attachment (I can't remember what it's actually called), since I didn't have an extra person to help me with boards and I needed to go to a higher level than the Shoulder Saver Pad. The range of motion was pretty short, but it was good to work on staying tight and stable during the unrack all the way through the press with heavier weight in my hands. I don't put a lot of stock into what I press off a high board, but 610lbs was the most weight I've ever had in my hands for bench so that was encouraging. Overall things went well and I'm looking forward to seeing how this different approach to training pans out on the platform.

...I couldn't do much assistance work in the storage unit where we were lifting because Erik was deadlifting with the rest of the plates (and did an impressive 745lbs deadlift off 2 inch blocks), so I just did some band pullaparts and saved my other lat work for the next day. My biceps tendon was killing me again anyways so doing a lot of extra rowing work this day would've just made it worse.
