This weekend I went up to the EliteFTS Compound to squat. It's only about 2 hours to the compound from my place, so I'm going to start training up there most weekends again as I prepare for the Lexen Fall Classic in October. Ted is doing the same meet so it'll be good to train with him there, and having good equipment, a monolift, and good people to train with makes it a no brainer. I'm preparing to nail down exactly what I'm going to do training-wise leading into this meet, but for now I've been rotating bars for box squats for triples, sometimes working up to a single. I did spider bar squats with chains this week, and this bar always throws me forward pretty bad. With all squats, my biggest issue is not rounding forward, and especially as I come up off the box/out of the hole, leading with my head and not my hips. It got a little better as the session went on, but it's still pretty ugly. I look forward to making some improvements on this moving forward into meet prep.

3x3 w/ 380+chains

3x3 w/ 330 no chains

1x3 w/ 330+chains

After working up to some triples, I dropped back down with straight weight to try and work on some suggestions from Ted, and then added the chains back in for one last set. The focus today was to try and get a lot of sets in and try to work on staying upright, so I wasn't working up to a true 3 rep max.

D. Back Attack Machine- 4x15

E. Wide Stance Hip Belt Squat - 4x15
