October 9 - Back Accessory
Due to a schedule conflict, I couldn't make it to my regular PL friendly gym (Gleason Performance Training in Derby, CT) during business hours, so I opted to switch things around and get some back accessory work in. Thankfully I had the following day off from the academy due to Columbus Day, so I knew I'd be able to fit benching in later.
Also, I should mention that I'm periodizing pull-ups now, for no other reason than I have nothing better to do since I'm not prepping for a meet right now. A few weeks back, I saw a guy do a BW+100 strict pull-up and thought that was pretty bad ass, so I'm trying to see how close I can get to that in time. Just trying to have a little fun with training since I won't be competing for a bit due to my new career.
Pullups - 6x2 weighted, worked up to BW + 65 x 2
45 Degree Angle Pull-ups - 4 sets of AMRAP
Straight Arm Lat Pulldowns - 4x12
High Pin Barbell Rows - 225x12 255 3x12 - these felt reeeeally good...might start taking the place of pendlay rows for me in my regularly scheduled programming.
Reverse Pec Deck - 100 total reps
Planks - regular and side planks for the last 10 minutes before the gym closed
