Today I didn't do any overhead event training since Marc and I are still sticking with the plan to do Monday's training (OH Day) on Sunday. We made some modifications to my yoke this morning while Gregg and Kingpin pressed. Apparently the yoke I have was originally designed for use by frost giants because no one under 6' tall could use it with the original limitations of the holes in the uprights. I added more a long time ago to accommodate the more vertically challenged individuals that I train with, but it still was too high for zercher carries and chain zercher carries are the devil. So for about 40 min to start training Marc and I were adding 2 more holes to each side to get it low enough for this purpose. Finals are looming.
Sandbag Carry
120'x200
240'x200
Yoke Zercher Carry
60'x250
60'x340
60'x430
60'x520 - I had a really stupid pick on this run which made the carry much awful(er) than necessary. I should have put it down and restarted, but stupid and stubborn won the decision.
Yoke
100'x450
100'x540
2x100'x650 - I shaved 2 sec off my time on the second run, which may be a new land speed record for me for 100'.
Hi/Lo Prowler Suicides
3x{30'/40'/50' x prowler} - High handles down, low handles back for each distance, done with a 2 man rotation and these were terrible incarnate by the third run.
