Finally starting to make myself do more volume on event day and true to form I got the strongman low and could literally feel my back undergoing hypertrophy for the rest of the day.  This is outstanding and reinforces my belief in my plan.

I opted not to do any pressing today since I always get in my overhead work during the week and technically pressing on event training day is optional unless I need a different focus for an upcoming competition.  My shoulder stabilizers have been feeling a little bit overworked the past week so I decided to give them some rest today instead of pushing forward pointlessly.

Farmer's Walk

50' x 110

50' x 200

50' x 250

3x50' x 310 - The second run was my fastest, but none of them were world record times today.

Yoke Zercher Carry

100' x 250

340' x 350 - I had planned to do 3 runs of 100' or so on zercher's  with a little bit more weight, but I decided to go for a max distance run (or a full length run of the line of storage units, whichever came first) on my first run and made a deal with myself that if  I made it all the way to the end, I would be done with zerchers for the day.  I did it and it was truly gnarly in the awfulest way.  The end was just a blur of pain, yelling, and trying to to die or drop the yoke.

Prowler

10x60' x  prowler+180 - 2 man rotation.

Gregg hit some technical work on CDB and sandbag today and made good headway on both while Marc PRed on his 50' farmer's walk with 2 runs of 50' x 230 with no drops at a body weight of 165 lb.  Plus, it was 65 damn degrees outside today so I managed to get a little sunburn on my shoulders.
