Today was pretty great all around.  Everyone was out at the Unit bright and early and everyone either PRed or went up significantly heavi(er) than they had in many moons.  We are all currently training for Maryland's Strongest Man except for Bill who is brand new to strongman which makes it easier to train since everyone needs to work on the same events.  I went up heavier on circus DB and yoke than I have in about a year and while my last yoke run was total garbage, there was an element of stupidity involved which contributed to my awfulness.

Press Medley (log/circus DB/log)

log complex x 90

band complex

log complex x 140/CDB complex x 75

log complex x 180/1ea x 115

2x230/1ea x 115

1x270/1ea x 135

1x270/1ea x 155/3x230

1x280/1ea x 175/3x230

For the last two sets I had training partners strip off the outside plates on the log after I did the first clean and jerk  so that when I came back to the log after doing the circus DB it was lighter for me to hit a few reps of push press.

Yoke

2x60' x 250

60' x 450

60' x 650 - Feeling a little slow today

60' x 740

50' x 830 - Slow and for some stupid reason I had my head down the whole time on this run.

50' x 880 - I had several drops for what I thought was no reason at the time, making this a horrible run.  Turns out the uprights weren't set to the same height, which messed with both my pick(s) and the balance on the carry.  This made me feel a little better about sucking, but not much.

Stone Over Bar (51")

1x200

2x200

2x3x200 - No one was really feeling stones today since everyone had gone up heavy on yoke.

Prowler Bear Crawls

50' x prowler + 90 - Too light

50' x prowler + 180 - Too short

2x100' x prowler + 180 - Better

~80' x prowler + 180 + Mike - I died on this with the additional 200+ pounds of training partner on the prowler.  It finally got my quads totally fried though, which was what I was going for.
