This week has been a whirlpool of brain training rather than body training.  I had my first neuroscience exam on Monday, followed up with my second exercise physiology exam today.  Both required a ton of studying, but for significantly different reasons.  Neuro was all new information that I've never learned before while ex phys was unfortunately more a test of deciphering the test than anything else.  Now I've got a week to master a ridiculous amount of info about the movements, function, and dysfunction of the hip and a little bit of the knee before my next exam next week in Analysis of Human Movement while also reading reading some research and working on statistical analysis in excel.  Good thing I love what I'm doing.

This week was a planned deload due to school workload, but the plan was to train Tues and Thurs, not wait until after all exams were completed and then try to fit it all in at the end of the week.  But plans rarely come to fruition in their first iteration so backup plans were put into motion and I snuck in a quick deload for squat and overhead in the late evening, mostly for mental health reasons, but also because I hate missing training sessions.

Squat

10x55

10x145

10x195

3x5x215

Log C&P/Neutral Grip Pullups

complex x 85

complex x 115

complex x 135

3x{3x150/5xBW} - My overhead with the log today was a mix of strict presses and push presses with no jerks performed.  The weight was light and I was actually able to focus on some different mechanics which I believe I may start to incorporate more of in my next training block.

One more deload day tomorrow and then back in attack mode come Saturday!
