It has almost been two months since I last deadlifted. I actually enjoyed getting back at with this lift yesterday. I like to start 60 to 70 percent range at the beginning of my training cycle with my deadlift and go from there and ease back into it. I also have always liked starting with 4" blocks for the first few weeks then to 2" box and then some floor work before a meet.
Everyone has what they like to do and what works for them. I have tried several different ways to squat, bench and pull in 25 years and I like to go with what works instead of what's the new in thing or what the tough guys think are cool. At 43 years I am still hitting meet PR's, accomplishing personal goals and my Team is having tremendous success. With that said we will continue to do what works for us....
