After what seems like an eternity, I am finally back under the bar pretending to be a multiply squatter again. My back held up pretty good tonight and I actually did not go and push myself any harder than I was supposed to. I called it where I thought I should and made the smart decision of shutting it down when I did. Look at me growing up and trying to be a smart lifter lol.

Squatting in gear is still foreign to me. As I look back on my powerlifting career, I wish I would have gotten in multiply squat gear sooner and stuck with it. Now each and every time I get in multiply squat gear its like I am learning how to ride a bike again. Its been 14 weeks since I have gotten hurt and its also been several months since I have trained my squat exclusively in gear.

I'm still searching for that perfect stance, that perfect pickup, but its like looking for a needle in a hay stack and at this point in my career with the window closing beacuse of age, injury and milage I really need to find that needle quick.

I enjoy getting feedback from veteran lifters and I asks questions all the time of people I trust in this sport. Their opinions and knowledge are important and help me tremendously. Nothing beats consistency, reps and time under the bar. Its building confidence as well and believing that you can do something that comes with all the variables that I just listed as well. This training cycle is pivitable for me, it will dictate allot of things of what I do next in the future.
