After what seemed wardrobe malfunction after wardrobe malfunction from a couple of weeks ago, it seems like i may have found my glass slipper so to speak. I found an old but new metal ace tucked back in the corridor awaiting my arrival in a new weight class. The shirt fits perfectly. I have not worn an ace in quiet some time, so navigating this new glass slipper is a little more slippery than using the metal jack that I have more recently been in.
With the 35 lb weight loss also comes the reality that I have lost some strength. This is acceptable to a degree, so I have changed my strategy for this training cycle and swallowed my ego. After a few sets it was just like riding a bike again with no training wheels.
The Metal Ace has always been my favorite go to multiply shirt. It is the only multiply shirt I have benched 800+ lbs in multiple times in the gym and in competition. This shirt is definitely not for everybody and definitely not a fan favorite, but if you stick with it learn to love the shirt and let it marinate to your body the shirt will take you where you want to go. The problem with most folks is they want immediate satisfaction and dont want to put the time into learning this shirt but thats a subject for another day.
I will continue to use this shirt over the next several weeks but for every other week as I am not as young as I once was and cannot take the beating that the multiply shirt puts me through like I used to. I will also try to convince myself that this new weight class could be a positive as well. Time will only tell with all these things that I am speaking about, and thats all we have is time. Thank you for reading here is what I did today:
