My squat training this training cycle has gotten a late start for a few reasons but none of that matters now. I have to make the best of the weeks I have left to prepare and train for this up coming meet.

This week actually called for blue bands but due to me being a week behind on starting I went ahead and stayed on track with my original plan. Black bands first. For myself I like to handle my projection weight several times through out my training cycle. Doing this for me builds confidence. It gets my body used to holding and handling that weight and going down every two weeks in bands size leads me right into my meet taking my last heavy week with a mini band.

We have trained this way for years so there is no reason to change what we do now. If it aint broke don't try and fix it. I still train geared in my shirt every two weeks and for my deadlift. For some reason us geared guys are pretty strong raw even without all that cheater gear and whodo magical bands. Who would have thunk it?

I am still monitoring my old body and injuries and doing my best to train smart and efficient. My eating, sleeping and recovery is staying on point as it should. Blue bands will be next in two weeks....
