This may not sound exciting to most of you but we now have doors in our house! What I mean by doors is closet and bedroom doors. We have been functioning without doors since we moved into my dads house. We replaced all the doors in my dads house with custom made doors that all match. These took time and money and these were not an absolute necessity to move in at the time, that is why we are just now getting them installed. It may sound stupid but it actually feels like we are in a finished home with our bedroom doors and closet doors installed. Its the simple things sometimes that brings it all together.
My daughters senior prom was this week which was awesome and not awesome at the same time. It is now officially hitting me that she will be graduating high school in a couple of weeks. It feels like I just blinked my eyes and seventeen and a half years passed just like that. I am posting some pictures from her photo shoot of before she left to go to the prom.
Katelyn has became a very beautiful young woman, she is the full package - brains, beauty, and athleticism all wrapped up into my baby girl. If you have been following my log for the past decade you have watched her grow up before your eyes as well and you know that she is absolutely my pride and joy. My next event that will be hard to get past is her graduation in a couple of weeks then watching her leave for college in August. She has been accepted and enrolled on an academic scholarship to East Tennessee University to become a pharmacist. Needless to say I am very proud of her.
