Today was an awesome day today. My Team (group 1) destroyed it today on their squats. It was a 3.5 hour squat fest with every lifter hitting PR's and building confidence for their upcoming meet!

Once you get past the newbie gains everyone has when they first start, those 20, 30 or 40 pound training cycle PR's stop then the real grinding and training starts. Your body adapts and you must change things up and push your threshold even more. Now that technique is dialed in and several training cycles have been done by each of them, things such as open elite totals are looking to become a reality, becoming a ranked lifter nationally becomes a real thing and attending bigger meets with more at stake are the focus now.

I love being a Coach. I love it. Watching a lifter develop day after day, month after month and year after year (in real life) is a amazing adventure to witness. You get to see what that lifter is made of, who they are, what kind of competitive spirit they have, their commitment, value to the Team, dealing with everyday adversity with job, home, personal and still coming in putting in work to get better. I have been very lucky and fortunate to coach so many great folks at our gym. Turning locals into champions in a small town, at a private gym is awesome. No bullshit, no drama, 1 leader, 100% support from your Team and the list goes on. I have it good and I would bot change nothing....

Being limited right now on lower body movements, I did a few things that did not irritate my knee.

After wrapping knees, loading weights, coaching, calling depth and supporting my Teammates here is what I did:

GHR

5 x 10

Leg Curls

5 x 10

Calf Raises

5 x 50

DB Shrugs

5 x 20
