This will be our last training day going into our deload week. And yes we do a deload week every training cycle. Myself and my team for almost 20 years have always utilized deloads in our training cycles. Now some of these hardcore types like to think they are too tough, they are too bad ass or hardcore to do a dreaded deload week because they think thats what pu$$ies do. Well this pu$$y has been pretty successful for almost 20 years utilizing deloads in our training. So there is that....

Tonight was squat night so we worked up to some relatively heavy sets tonight. Everyone was extremely locked in a and preforming at a high level tonight. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing this as a coach. At this point in a training cycle for me as a coach I can see if things are starting to come together or if I need to reevaluate a lifter or projections, attempts, certain movements or anything. This is where I like to make any final adjustments or fine tune anything. This is our mid way point so I have to make sure things are exact.

About 90 % of our team is competing in September at the IPA World Championships so we will technically be doing 2 training cycles leading up to this meet.

Here is what i did tonight:

Wrapped knees
Called attempts
Called depth
Coached technique
Built confidence in my lifters
Gave suggestions
Pointed out any issues I saw
Had fun
Felt a hue amount of pride
