Well what do you know? That deload week helped! There is something sinister about that rest/recovery stuff Im telling ya. Today was a planned get heavy, push myself and lets see what I am made of day. Mission accomplished.

Yes this was done with choked mini bands but this was a lifetime squat PR for me with this much weight and only a mini band. So far so good with my training and the amount of pushing then backing off a the right time is helping me.

Heading for 42 years old is not old but it aint 22 or 32 years old. Coming back from major knee surgery and a torn bicep in the same year is not impossible but at 42 harder than it once was. I'm not looking for an at-a-boy. I am proving that hard work and determination can bring you back or possibly take you farther that you once were.

My journey is still moving forward. I'm wanting to travel a little farther....
