Today I needed to handle some big boy weight. I have rested enough and my back is starting to feel healthy again. Now we need to see if its healthy enough to pick up ten plates on each side of the bar.

With the amount of time I have left for the meet to train, recover and deload I needed to back up some. So today I used blue bands and I will begin from here. Trust me for all you newbies and naysayers about reverse band training, I don't have any delusions in my head that I can squat 955 pounds right now, but by me holding this weight on my back every two weeks and moving down a band size it allows me to train at maximal weight and get better and handling it week after week and help build confidence that I can.

We have utilized this training philosophy for many years with our squat and bench press multiply lifting and it has worked pretty well.
