My back is continuing to get better and so far I havent done anything too stupid to reaggrivate it. At this point I am just truly testing the waters each and every week with everything I do.
I'm still trying to keep my raw bench press in the 400 lb range which is highly difficult with my shoulder in the condition they are in. Its either push on, get surgery or become a pretend body builder. I am not ready for surgery and I like being fat so I will continue being an idiot and push on. At this point in my 35 year career each and every week that I am able to train is a blessing.
On the flip side I really do enjoy the coaching aspect more and more, I guess in some ways I am living through some of my athletes. I feel like a scientist in a lab, adding a dash of this, a sprinkle of that and a whole lot of other stuff. At times it seems I am making gumbo. But at the end it tastes terrific so we must be doing something right.
