This week is kind of like a deload/cardio/meet openers/wrap knees/call depth/handoff/coach/cheer/support/inspire week....

Squat openers went down tonight. The gym was packed to the gills and everyone was ready to squat. I decided to just doing my Coaching duties instead of me trying to train today. Everyone did great tonight. All openers went smooth and we even hit some 2rnd attempts with mini bands.

I have 7 lifters competing in 2 weeks. We have one rookie first timer, one doing his second meet, one doing his second full power meet (has done a push pull), 2 lifters going after their elite totals, one lifter doing her 3rd meet and 1 lifter doing his forth meet but for the 1st time trying a different weight class. Ages range from 18 to 44! 3 women and 4 men.

I cant wait to see each of them go after their new PR's and totals! Its fun being a Coach and I take much pride in it. Their success is more important than mine. I focus on each of them with even amount of attention. I try to have them fully prepared and ready to the best of my abilities. Their only job is to lift the weight put on the bar. I call all of my lifters attempts. They don't have to worry themselves with that. We bring enough folks from our gym to make sure each lifters has a handler. This is their day to shine and perform and not have to worry about stuff they don't need to. In two weeks we will roll deep into Tennessee not just as gym or a Team but a Family.....
